Along with the avocado and the cherimoya, the mango completes the triumvirate of the fruits from the Costa Tropical. Mangoes from Granada also have a special consideration in the market due to their properties and their exclusiveness: there is no other place in Europe where they can grow, although their consumption is very popular. Because of this, our mangoes have one of the most refreshing and daring flavours that could exist among tropical fruits, they just have an uniquie taste.
*This forecast may vary from season to season
Over the last few years the production and distribution of mangoes in the Costa Tropical has tripled, a growth where Frutas Fajardo has accomplished its role, with a 50 % from our own production. In fact the growing of these cherished mangoes at present is in the process of expanding, so the mango from the Costa Tropical would acquire a great importance to the company.
Of all the mango varieties that exists, in Frutas Fajardo we grow Osteen and Keitt. The first one is the most known, originated in Florida (USA), with a reddish orangey exterior and with and exceptional and flavoured flesh with barely any fibrous texture. Keitt variety is also very appreciated, thicker and with that slightly acid taste that many mango lovers like.
